This is a somewhat rare bone china beaker 155mm tall . Visually it is full of information including the map England Scotland & Wales with the major rail routes + a chart of the Heritage lines indexed + some of the locos operating on them . The handle depicts a London underground steam loco & the Rocket and coaches + more are shown. The inside shows the Mallard & the Flying Scots man the base has the legend "the railways of great britain "  - a design by Caroline Dodd - fine bone china Made in England   - Please check the photos for the excellent detailing .. I have not seen one of these before . Great for that special present .
