The Order to give 3600 Livres to the Hotel-Dieu, drafted by a clerk, and signed by the King of France as "Louis" preceded by some words also in the hand of the King. The Hotel-Dieu is the oldest and still operating hospital on earth. This order gives money from the Treasury to support the operation of the hospital.
The manuscript is inset with a hand drawn and colored illustration of King Louis XVI, having been done shortly after the Revolution.
