Antique British Newspaper, "THE WORLD", 1756

A very fine example of THE WORLD, from Thursday, February 19th, 1756. 7 1/4" x 11 1/2", with 6 pages, THE WORLD was a London 18th century weekly newspaper. Contributors included Edward Moore, Horace Walpole, E.S. Dallas and Charles Hanbury. The first issue of The World was distributed on January 4th, 1753 and was introduced by Editor, Edward Moore. This issue concerns itself with society of the time and is quite amusing at what goes on. Imagine reading a newspaper 266 years old!
