This is a used FUJIKURA 90S+ CORE ALIGNMENT FIBER OPTIC ARC ACTIVE FUSION SPLICER KIT w/ CT30!!! Used, but still in good cosmetic shape!!! Just some normal cosmetic wear (pictured) on this set!!! Unfortunately though, while testing we discovered some operational issues. When the device powers up, the screen begins flickering right away. The unit still appears to be booting as normal as the company logo and menus can be seen through the flickering but once it has finished booting, the device displays a constant "monitor trouble" error as well as a "heater trouble error." The device still responds to button presses and can be turned on/off and charged normally but between the monitor’s constant flickering and the heating mechanism malfunctioning, it does appear that this unit is going to be in need of professional servicing before it will be fully operational. We also found several spots of what looks like condensation within the case and the unit itself seems to have some moisture trapped under the clear plastic cover near its back end so our best guess is that it may be water damaged. Should be a great deal for anyone with the proper knowhow on how to fix these issues!!! This awesome splicer can be use in multiple field splicing applications including bend-insensitive fibers in drop cables, long-haul terrestrial and submarine LEAF fibers, loose buffer fiber, splice-on connectors, plus much more!!! The speed and accuracy of the 90S+ make it suitable for certain production and specialty environments where high output, tight packaging, and low loss requirements are required!!! Regardless of your scenario, the Fujikura 90S+ is designed to keep you in the field with an extended battery life of 300 splice and heat cycles!!! With its multiple automated and easy-to-use features, the 90S+ alleviates the need for traditional operation tasks such as frequent arc calibrations, cleaver blade rotations, cleaver usage tracking, and manual splicing operations!!! A redesigned work tray, cooling tray, and optional cable clamp make the 90S+ kit more versatile than its predecessors in adapting to varying work conditions and environments!!! The new Active Fusion Control (AFC) technology improves splice losses for fibers that possess a poor cleave angle!!! Combined with Active Blade Management between the splicer and cleaver, the Fujikura 90S+ contains a robust set of splicing features that will reduce the likelihood of poor splice installations or repairs!!! PLEASE NOTE: This item is being sold in a "for parts" condition as it is currently not fully functional due what we suspect is water damage. The splicer does boot up and is responsive to button presses but the integrated monitor constantly flickers and displays error for both "monitor trouble" and "heater oven trouble." We found condensation within the case and there seems to be moisture trapped in parts of the splicer itself so we are fairly confident that the unit has been water damaged and will need to be serviced or repaired by a qualified technician before it will be useable. All potential buyers should carefully review all of the auction photographs in order to accurately assess this kit's current physical condition and only bid with the understanding that this unit will not be fully functional upon receipt. Splicer comes exactly as is pictured with theXT-30 high precision cleaver as well as all photographed cables/accessories and is packaged in its original hard shell case. No battery charger is included. Please be sure to review all of the photos carefully as everything that is included is pictured. If you do not see something, it will not be shipped.
