Cattle Watering at Dusk

A lovely painting inspired by one of Britains best cattle painters- Thomas Sidney Cooper, who was synonymous with such scenes. The work is signed lower left F. Knight who we believe was a Kent painter living at the same time as Cooper.
Age- c1880
Size- 17 by 24 inches approx including frame, canvas 15 by 22 inches approx.
Medium- Oils on canvas, re-lined.
Frame- Later unglazed wooden frame offered free with the painting.
Condition- Good overall condition, we would be very happy as hanging this one as found. The previous owner has spent a considerable amount of money on cleaning and re-lining the painting to a very high standard.
Signature- Lower left.
