Pecking/hammer stone

Artifact

This pecking stone was found in West Haven on private property in close proximity to the town Green and Savin Rock Beach where natives are known to of camped in earlier times.

The stone has multiple sides and fits a right-handed person perfectly (see photos)

The corners are all rounded.

It appears to have been used as a pecking stone to chip and break pieces off of other stones.

It also appears to be a bird effigy.
