Sterling Silver Lighthouse Shape Sugar Castor 168.4g
This is a lovely and good
quality early Edwardian sterling silver sugar sifter/castor with elegant simple
line styling. It is hallmarked Birmingham 1902 with the complicated maker’s
initials of William Hutton & Sons Ltd, West Street, Sheffield, Hanley
Street, Birmingham & Farringdon Road, London.
Its makers were influenced
by the simple lines and designs of the era. It is tower shaped with an integral
low concave foot and raised seam running around the mid-point. It resembles a
lighthouse and has a push on high dome cap with sides slots and urn finial.

The castor is in excellent
condition with no faults or damage to report, some light wear, and a warm
