This is a good example of the Railway guards handlamp reservoir and burner assembly as used around the steam days of the 1930's . It stands 125 mm tall over the hoop carry handle. It has the normal slide fixing bracket to the the rear for attachment to a 19 mm shaft in your lamp . The ceramic Burner is stamped LMS with Sherwoods Ltd + repeated on the adjuster shaft knob .The aperture is the standard one inch diameter - the reservoir body is 76 mm diameter with a good base & a section of wick is present - Great to complete that special lamp - Please check the photos .
Not often seen these days .
