1920s-1930s Art Deco Australian Mark 15ct Gold Seed Pearl Ribbon Bow Brooch 4.2g

 

This exquisite brooch is estimated to be a quality piece of jewellery from the art deco era of the 1920s through 1930s. It is marked with Australian pictorial marks of a unicorn and a fleece either side of “15ct” for its 625 yellow gold fineness.

 

It has a solid ribbon frame in the traditional shape of a tied bow. The ribbon and “knot” centre is set with fine graduated seed pearls with a good lustre. It is fitted with a simple pin and hook hasp to the back.

It is in excellent condition with no faults or damage to report, some light wear commensurate with age; suspicion of a replacement pearl to one end of the upper bow. The photos form part of the description and condition report.
