In 1993, photographer Jesse Frohman captured Kurt Cobain, frontman of the legendary rock band Nirvana, wearing round sunglasses with white frames for a series of portraits. Since then, this portrait has become his most iconic image, and the sunglasses have also become his signature item. The sunglasses that Kurt wore in the photo shoot are by Christian Roth.
