This is a lovely Miyazawa PCM 300, solid silver alloy Japanese handmade flute, in great condition, has not been out of the case for 10 years..
These models, in this condition, are becoming something of a collectors’ item, and as well as being beautiful to play, can be considered a solid investment financially.
Beautiful flute. Requires an overhaul to be perfect. Just some very slight tarnish, hence reduced from £1600 if it was totally immaculate. Would suit grade 5 up to orchestra level.
Case also in very good condition.
The PCM range was developed by Miyazawa, to improve on the already splendid tone of solid silver. This alloy definitely gives an improvement, when out side by side with a silver flute of the same generation, such as a Muramatsu M180 or ST.
At that time, Miyazawa hardly marketed their brand, and so the PCM model didn’t become as world renowned as it surely would do were it released now. Hence they have become so sought after, in good condition.
