Gorgeous powder compact, manufactured by Kigu in the 1940s/50s. Engine turned brass, vacant cartouche on the top.
This is a "4 in 1" compact as it also has a lipstick holder, a perfume bottle and a cigarette case! It is fashioned like a little handbag with a handle.
The compact is in good condition - the two hinges and button openers work well, mirror in good condition, no damage. The lipstick case and perfume bottle fit snugly into their holders.The compact has its maker's mark in several places, see photos.
The main body of the compact is approx 9cm x 6.25cm, 13.25cm across with the lipstick and scent bottle. It is just over 2cm deep.
The fitted box is also in good condition, just some age-related "foxing" on the satin.
