You are bidding on a huge 375mm x 575mm (15" x 23") professionally produced black and white litho print. It shows action from the 1966 German Grand Prix from the Nurburgring circuit. in an effort to combat the reduced grid numbers following the adoption if the 3 litre formula the organisers allowed a number of Formula 2 cars to make up the places on the numbers on the grid. Jacky Ickx was amongst the new emerging drivers that took advantage of the opportunity and here the fresh faced Belgian driver is seen at speed in his F2 Matra during a practice session. He is pictured cresting a rise as he passes a very second hand looking saloon car abandoned at he side of the circuit. A casualty from a previous session for the support races. A great print that really captures the essence of the era.
