THE DAY THEY HANGED -

MARSHAL YARBERY

“This ticket entitles Mr. ----- to witness the execution of Milton J. Yarbery, February 9th, 1883”

By order of Lt. Colonel Perfecto Armijo

Capt. Jno. Borradaile. A. A.”

“ It matters little now, Lorena.

The past is in eternal past

Our heads will soon lie low, Lorena

Life’s tide is ebbing out so fast.”

Prisoner and Ex-Marshal Milton Yarbery on way to hanging death escorted by the Albuquerque Company of the State Militia Their tall Prussian helmet waving yellow horse hair plumes gleaming like lighthouses. The blue uniforms sparkled with brass buttons and epaulettes.

ALBUUERQUE GUARD MEMORABILIA

IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

Folks, this story tells of the life and times of Marshal Milton Yarbery who played both sides of the law and ends on the gallows of a new fangled hanging machine. A contraption copied from one as built in a design published in a Scientific American magazine.

THERE WERE NO STEPS

BUT IT WORKED!

Please read this. There were many a western story published – the common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on Ebay every day but the rarer ones about the hangings of the old days are seldom found. Heck, there were printed invitations for this one. Collectors treasure them and their price guide value rises every day. This is a very hard to come by Western magazine Annual. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest.

Here’s one of ‘em.

Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western heroes. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because Old Western History and Memorabilia was printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell.

This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost.

Humbly, I am trying to keep our history alive.

I hope you appreciate the effort.

MARSHAL MILTON YARBERY -

OLD HANGING MEMORABILIA

IS RAPIDLY DISAPPEARING

While others clip ads from magazines, I save history. It’s a shame that our past is being lost. It’s as simple as that.

What a story, Rare Story!!! Great Pictures. You will love it as it was published in this old complete and seldom found western magazine of many years ago. The issue is in excellent condition, the cover is pristine and in vibrant color.

As clearly stated in my description, this is featured story in a rarely found and seldom read unusual and complete western magazine. I don't give out name of publication or date because I have caught competitors copying my index and work and trying to sell it as theirs. I hope you understand.
