ITEM(S) CONDITION:
OPTICALLY: EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT+
there are NO deep scratches, deep 'cleaning marks', cracks or any other serious damages on lens glasses; there's NO fungus, haze, fog, separations or any other serious damages inside optical construction of this lens; there are some really MICRO 'cleaning marks' on glasses coatings, mostly inside optical construction, but they are really FAINT ones, not deep ones, not visible, unless you look through lens under strong LED light; lens has few really MICRO marks/spots on glasses coatings, what is quite normal in vintage Carl Zeiss Jena lenses; lens has some pieces of MICRO dust inside optical construction, but nothing to worry about
MECHANICALLY: EXCELLENT+ / PERFECT-
focus ring works very smooth, as for old Carl Zeiss Jena vintage lens; lens has small backlash (play) on it's focus ring (left/right kind of play), but this is factory issue, quite common in this type of lenses, not possible to feel, when lens is in use, especially with follow focus unit; zoom ring works smooth and fine too; aperture ring works smooth and fine too; aperture stops to the end without any problems; aperture blades with NO grease on them, close to the end, but they are a bit worn; lens has de-clicked aperture; lens has unusual star type aperture (see picture) type; lens is converted to Canon EF mount, focus to infinity without any problems; this lens is NOT parfocal lens; lens was checked with manual Chrosziel follow focus unit and it is working fine
VISUALLY: EXCELLENT- / EXCELLENT
there are NORMAL signs of use on lens casing, as can be seen on real pictures; lens casing has some scratches and some paint missing, that is normal in used lens; lens scale numbers are still in quite good shape, visible; there are NO serious damages on lens casing, like serious dents or cracks, but as many used lens, this lens can have some minimal dents or cracks on it's casing
