View of Western Shore and the Public Baths & Lido, before the great land reclamation of West Bay, River Test estuary, which began in the 1920s. 

This card is postmarked Southampton, 6 February, 1903, and bears a message from a passenger on the Union-Castle liner "Lismore Castle" traveling to South Africa to work for the Central South African Railways based at Bloemfontein.
