A large and impressive signed oil on canvas by the Italian genre painter Eduardo Galli. This work is signed upper right and in its original gilt frame and was purchased at Christie's in London by the previous owner in the 1970’s The work depicts figures making merry and drinking in a wine cellar. Galli painted numerous scenes with figures drinking and in wine cellars. He was a typial Italian genre painter from Naples.
