Vintage Baihua Chinese Black Silk Embroidered Peony Medallion Roundels Robe Jacket

This vintage Baihua Chinese black silk embroidered peony medallion roundels robe jacket dates from the 1960s. It is made of a black silk rayon blend fabric, with multicolored embroidered roundels medallions of peony flowers. This beautiful black surcoat style robe jacket is a short mid length, loose fitting, with a mandarin collar, long full sleeves, white silk multicolored floral embroidered cuffs, collar, bright yellow silk trim edging with pankou knot toggle closures down the front, is fully lined in a black silk fabric and has a "Baihua Made in China" label, Size Small tag sewn inside. The robe measures 25 inches long, with a 40 inch chest, 46 inch waist, 16 inch long sleeve and a 14 inch neck. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of Chinese wearable art!
