Here is an amazing and rare Pelikan 100 from 1939. An absolutely beautiful piece that is an amazing survivor!
Originally bought in Munich the pen is from 1949 and is the last version of this legendary 100 that used the cork piston It has the post 1937 logo as well as its original OBLIQUE Broad tip CN flex nib. The pen also as the OB nib grade n the rear section of the pen as it was for the German market. One of the last pens prior to the onset of the Second World War. These pens were also had more celluloid in their construction as opposed to the earlier ones.
This pen has another unique feature and its the ink feed. This has been customised sometime in the 1940s for a more richer wetter ink flow. Most interesting!
The pen is in amazing Mint condition as it has been very carefully used as you can see. Its amazing to see how intact and well preserved the pen truly is. I wish this pen could speak! Minimal discolouration the green binding is the lighter shade of green which is very rare. A new fresh cork has been fitted.
The pen is absolutely lovely to use as well as look at. The lines and power really make it feel like a huge powerful pen but its still an original Pelikan model 100! No wonder this pen is a legend used by famous people such as Albert Einstein and even Josef Stalin.
The nib is really butter smooth! Feather touch nib! Hardly any pressure to write nice wet lines!
Fast, responsive with good strong springiness for really superb control.Wet and delightful nib!!
