In this savagely reshaped world ruled by brigands and warmakers, a rider seeks a lost city. Jon Shannow, the brigand-slayer, wants only peace, but from the Plague Lands emerges the Lord of the Pit. With his Hellborn army he intends to plunge mankind into a new Satanic era. But they face the deadliest warrior of the new age: Jon Shannow - the Jerusalem Man.
Wolf in Shadow is the second graphic novel from the creators of the bestselling Legend. Once again, David Gemmell's characters and events take on graphic life at the hands of artist Fangorn and adaptor Stan Nicholls.
[David Gemmell is one of the UK's most popular authors of heroic fantasy. His first novel, Legend, is widely regarded as a contemporary classic of the genre, and was adapted to graphic novel form in 1993. The adventures of its unique central character, Druss the Axeman, are continued in The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend and the forthcoming Second Chronicles. David Gemmell's latest novel is Bloodstone {in 1994}.
Stan Nicholls is a freelance journalist and author. He has written film and television novelisations, biographies, a collection of fifty interviews with sf, fantasy and horror authors entitled Wordsmiths of Wonder, and several novels for young readers. The graphic novel version of Legend was based on his adaptation.
Fangorn is the pseudonym of Birmingham artist Chris Baker, who studied at the Bournville School of Art before taking a staff job with a design studio. Since becoming a freelance in 1989, he has created cover art for many books, fantasy games and related material. His first graphic novel was David Gemmell's Legend.
Elitta Fell has worked as Marvel UK's in-house designer, display representative for Christian Dior and visualiser with New York's Yellow Pages. She has designed, lettered and laid-out titles for DC, Fleetway, Paper Tiger and numerous other art and comicbook publishers.].
