Vintage Harris K Cased Shuttle Saxonia type Sewing Machine by Haid & Neu Germany

W. J. Harris was a London based Sewing Machine distributor who sold re-badged machines made by other companies.

I believe this machine was made by Haid & Neu of Germany and is the same as their Model 'S'. It's a lovely and unusual looking  sewing machine with the recessed base giving it  a lower profile.

Serial number 2986903. Unfortunately I can't find any information on the net with regard to the year of manufacture, but by the look and the fact it has the shuttle system I think is early 1900s.

This is a vintage machine so does have age related marks. including some pitting to the bed and chips to the edge of the enamel.

The case also has some stain and marks and would benefit from some wood nourishing and scratch polish.

Include the instructions and key.

Case is 457mm x 235mm x 260mm high (18" x 9.25" x 10.25")

Sewing machine base is 295mm x 154mm
