Edwardian Embroidered Eyelet Cutwork White Cotton Batiste Shirtwaist Blouse

This antique Edwardian era embroidered eyelet cutwork white cotton batiste shirtwaist blouse dates from 1910. It is made of a sheer white cotton batiste lawn fabric, with pintuck pleated details, raised padded satin stitch embroidered vine leaf flowers, polka dots, scalloped edging and eyelet cutwork decorative designs. This lovely lace shirtwaist blouse has a loose fitting style with an attached adjustable belted tie strap waistband, peplum skirted waist bottom, cut out details on the short sleeves, carved mother of pearl button closures down the back and is sheer, unlined. The top measures 21 inches long, with a 42 inch chest and 36 inch waist. It is in good condition, with an old patched mended repair under each arm (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
