This vintage multicolor cross stitch hand embroidery woven linen peasant jacket dates from the 1930s. It is made of an off white ivory cream color woven linen fabric with multicolored cross stitch hand embroidery work done in Scandinavian style traditional Nordic folk art floral geometrical designs with red and blue cross stitched X edgings. This beautiful boho blouse bolero peasant jacket has an open front with no closure, fold over collar, gathered shoulders, short sleeves, front patch pockets and is unlined. The top measures 22 inches long, with a 42 inch chest and 14 inch back. It is in good as-is condition, has not been cleaned with some stains on the front, slight red color bleed in areas, faint underarm discoloration and a few loose missing X stitching trim edging (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of cross stitch embroidery wearable folk art!
