Vintage Spencer Corset Girdle Garters White Cotton Damask Weave Undergarment

This vintage Spencer corset girdle garters white cotton damask weave undergarment dates from the 1940s. It is made of an off white damask weave cotton fabric with a woven decorative floral pattern. This unique underpinning corset girdle support foundation undergarment has a high waist back, with elastic gusset inserts, original adjustable lacing with zipper closure on the front, decorative scalloped trim edging at the top, under the bust girdle style with four attached garters suspenders stocking straps hanging down from the bottom and a "Individually Designed Spencer Trademark New Haven, CONN." label with a list of patent numbers sewn inside. The corset measures 16 inches long in the front, 20 inches long in the back, an adjustable 30 inch waist and 36 inch hips. It is in good condition, with only some minor wear, faint yellowing discoloration on the front side. This is truly a wonderful piece of underpinnings wearable art!
