Antique Brussels Point de Gaze Needle Lace Wax Flower Bridal Wedding Juliet Cap

This antique Brussels Point de Gaze needle lace wax flower bridal wedding Juliet cap dates from the 1930s. It is made of an off white ivory cream color Point de Gaze needle lace with buttonhole stitches on a mesh ground, with veined raised oversewn bundles of threads creating flowers, sprigs, leaves, scrolls designs and wax orange blossom flower droplets sewn onto the bottom back edging. This beautiful bridal headpiece has a form fitting Juliet cap style, coming to a point down the center forehead, is lined in a sheer net and has a "La Du Barry 233 Post St. San Francisco" label sewn inside. The cap measures 12 inches long from front to back and is 8 inches wide. It is in good condition, with only a few faint tiny age spots and some loose stitching attaching the wax flowers on the back (see close-ups). This truly a wonderful wedding bridal headpiece and one of a kind piece of antique Brussels lace wearable art!
