Wendell Washer was one of the amazing animators who spent his life creating the shows and features we loved as children, working for Walt Disney, Warner Brothers, Filmation, Marvel and more. We were fortunate enough to acquire a large portion of the animation material from his estate.
Wendell had a very long history working on Disney's Winnie the Pooh. Earlier in his career he worked on some of the 1970's/1980's educational film strips all the way up to Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin (1997).
These are just gorgeous. They're a massive 11" x 17". All Copy. They are from The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (dated and marked with those production numbers from the late 1980's), but we think Wendell used them for The Search for Christopher Robin and they were copied then, in the late 1990's. NOTE: The right edge of these have a tight curl, having been stored in too-small a folder at some point.
