From the time when Mean Machines ended after 24 issues, the magazine split into assorted titles. Nintendo had NMS or the Official Nintendo Magazine. Sega had a short run with Sega Magazine before it became Sega Saturn Magazine.
This was a crazy time for Sega. The Megadrive was still big but there was a transition period towards the Saturn and with arcades showcasing games like Virtua Fighter, there was no way a Megadrive could pull that off accurately. Sega went into ad-ons with the Mega CD and the 32X, the Master System was still running as well as the Game Gear but both systems started to show their age against the polygon world.
This is where Sega Magazine comes into life. Julian Rignal, Richard Ledbetter and Radion Automatic started this magazine in 1994 and these are the last seven issues. At this point the Sega Saturn has just been released .
