This is a magnificent, framed large, offset lithograph by renowned Civil War artist Mort Kuntsler entitled “I Will Be Moving Within the Hour”. It is a signed and numbered artist proof 39/50. The piece is framed and triple matted, and is in very good condition with very few minor blemishes to the frame. The lithograph itself is in excellent as-new condition. The overall size is 20“ x 30 1/2“ and image size 14“ x 28 1/2“ with a weight of 5 pounds.

Kuntsler, as he always does, devoted numerous hours to research, visiting the actual site, and looking through various documents, letters and books. His research led a most realistic presentation of this key meeting of Confederate Generals that actually took place prior to the Battle of Second Manassas, August 1862. At the hastily set up field table, are excellent depictions of Generals Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Stuart, and Longstreet. Their planning led to the eventual defeat of the Union forces under the command of General Pope.

This piece is a must for any Civil War aficionado, or anyone that has an interest in American military history.
