A lovely small antique 19th Century oil on panel painting of figures dressing on a beach

The painting is annotated in red which appears to read  J'MJOICI - FAYEN- but letter difficult to read clearly

I believe the painting to be of French origin - the panel has a French label to the back 

ED HAUTECOEUR Avenue de l'Opera Estampes - PHOTOGRAPHIC PAPETERIE

It is ornately framed with black painted wood and Greek ornate gold gilt decorative work

 APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS

In total - Width just under 10 inches (26.5 cms) - height 8 inches (20.5  cms)

Painting section (as it sits within the frame)  - width 5 1/2 inches (14 cms) - height just under 3 1/2 inches (8.5 cms)

CONDITION

Painting is in a good condition with some minor paint loss in places

The frame is solid with some marks, chips in places - and these will need to be repaired/restored
