Jhagee Kine Exakta, world's first commercial 35 mm SLR film camera, rare pre-war version III, likely manufactured early 1938.

The camera is in an attractive condition for its age. The shutter needs attention however; looks like part of the curtain is disconnected. The finder is clear; the condition of the mirror has suffered from age with some scratches but still provides a clear image on the finder. The Lens condition ist excellent with no scratches or fungus, aperture opens and closes easily, focusing is smooth, slightly on the firm side.

Overall, this is a great collectible camera; the shutter could be restored to working condition. It comes with a leather case (top needs some restitching) with neck strap and a complete original 19 page brochure on the camera.

The camera was owned by my late father (born 1912) and was in constant use during my whole childhood as of 1945.
