As from September 4th 2013, ebay have decided that they are no longer content to charge commission only on the final sale price, but also on the postage and packing charge, so unfortunately I have had to raise these charges by the same percentage. If and when ebay reverse this policy, my shipping charges will be reduced by 10%.

I am disposing of my extensive collection of badges and patches, which I built up mostly at concerts in the 1970s and 1980s. The majority are rock and heavy metal, but there are a few of other genres. I will also be listing a few T shirts and magazines (Kerrang!, NME, Sounds, etc.), plus concert programmes and related items, so please keep watching my listings. I have made every effort to keep all my items in excellent condition (although this has not always been possible with the paper items), so the vast majority are as new or nearly so.

This woven sew-on patch measures approximately 3 inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm.) across, and is in excellent unworn condition. I purchased it at a concert at the Bingley Hall, Stafford in about 1978, and it has been kept carefully in a drawer ever since, so there are no marks or damage at all.

I am also currently selling several similar items, so please check my other listings.

If you have zero or very low feedback, particularly if you are based in Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia (apologies to ebay users in those countries who honour their bids), please contact me in advance of bidding, or your bid may be cancelled without notice.

Unfortunately, because of the obstructive attitude of Poste Italiane and Italian Customs, I no longer ship to Italy. The same applies to Austria and the Republic of Ireland.

Payment accepted in sterling by cheque, postal order or International Money Order. Please note that Canadian or US Money Orders in USD cannot be cashed in England; only International Money Orders made out in Pounds Sterling are acceptable. British banks are no longer accepting Eurocheques.

If you would like to pay by PayPal or ebay managed payments, please read the following SLOWLY and CAREFULLY:

EBAY MANAGED OR PAYPAL PAYMENTS:

I reserve the right to ship only to confirmed ebay/PayPal addresses, which must in each case match the address notified to me by ebay at the time of sale.

The carriage quoted includes insurance. This is to comply with with  ebay/PayPal's Seller Protection Policy. Details of this, and ebay/PayPal’s other policies, can be found on the ebay website. If you would like to pay by ebay managed payments or PayPal, please make sure that you are thoroughly familiar with all of ebay and PayPal's terms and conditions.

For overseas purchases, International Signed at an additional cost of £5 has been included in the shipping amount. This gives cover up to £50.

Only one insurance fee per consignment is charged, so there would be savings if more than one purchase were to be combined.

I realise that insured shipping is not always cost-effective on items of low value, and so I used to offer shipping without insurance, at buyer's own risk, which many customers welcomed, as it was much cheaper, but since 22 September 2009, ebay have removed the ability of the buyer to choose insurance as an optional extra. Therefore, all my listings will have a combined handling/shipping charge which is inclusive of insurance. Please contact me IN ADVANCE OF BIDDING if you would prefer to opt of this and select shipping without insurance. This will only be possible if you can pay by bank transfer from an account in GBP.

My preferred method of payment is by bank transfer or cheque drawn on a UK bank.  If you can pay by this method, tracking and insurance will be optional and this could result in a considerable saving in postage expenses.

Please bid only if you agree with ebay/PayPal's terms and conditions.

COMBINED POSTAGE:  As my items vary so widely in size, shape and weight, it is not possible to quote postage prices that take into account all possible multiple purchases, so if you win more than one item, please do not complete checkout or send payment before requesting and receiving a combined invoice, otherwise ebay's automated system will overcharge you. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

If you do overpay, and I notice, or you bring it to my attention, you will eventually receive a refund, but it may take some time, as I wait until there are a few such cases which I can deal with at one sitting. Neither will you be able to reclaim the full amount overpaid, as the portion of the overpayment which ebay has taken in fees and commission on the extra postage amount cannot be retrieved, at least not by any method of which I am aware, so it is in your own interest not to overpay to begin with.

I will gladly combine items to save on postage, but if you are thinking of placing further bids, please alert me BEFORE your first item has been packed, as I would prefer not to have to unpack and repack items.

Please note that I never end auctions early, as it is not fair on other bidders. Anyone making such a request will automatically be added to my Blocked Bidders list, along with non-payers, those who repeatedly pay late or retract bids without good reason, and those who refuse to return feedback when requested.

In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with any item(s) you receive, please have the courtesy to contact me before having recourse to ebay's automated returns procedure. I offer a no-quibble refund guarantee on all my items. Similarly, if your item is subject to delay or non-delivery, please contact me in the first instance, as that is only good manners.

Finally, please do not be concerned if you do not hear from me immediately following the end of the auction, as I often have to work away from home for several days at a time.

POSTAGE AND PACKING CHARGES (INCLUSIVE OF INSURANCE) : UK £2.95, rest of world £8.75 (includes ebay surcharge).

Unfortunately ebay have recently decided unilaterally to charge extra commission on sales where either the buyer’s registered address or delivery address is not in the same country as the seller. I reserve the right to add this extra amount (approximately 2.5% of the total of the order, including sale price, postage price, sales tax in destination of country) to the stated cost of shipping. If you have a non-UK registered address, therefore, but want delivery to the UK, or vice-versa, please take this extra charge into consideration before deciding how much to bid. If ebay reverse this policy, naturally I will no longer have to pass the extra charge on to customers.
