Antique 19th C. Pewter Coffeepot Teapot

  • Here is a beautiful early pewter coffeepot or teapot
  • Elegant lighthouse shape with stylish octagonal body on a circle base
  • Nicely curved spout and ebonized wooden handle
  • Wooden ebonized flower shaped lid finial
  • It has a strainer at the spout opening inside
  • Well marked: "J. CUTTS, Sheffield
  • Stamped also are the catalog number 2024, in addition to single digit 4, which likely stands for a volume of 4 cups
  • Circa 1870-1880's. Possibly early variation of the transition between George Cutts and George Cutts & Sons. It needs additional research


  • Measurements: Approximately 9.5" tall with lid, 9.5" spout to handle, 5.5" base diameter
  • Weighs 1.8 lbs.

  • Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos below. All original and unaltered. Great pewter patina developed over time. Wear commensurate with age and use, a couple of slight indentures
