Vintage 1984 USA Olympic Shield Patch

I don’t know anything about this patch. It was in with some other stuff I got. I don’t think it was ever sewn on anything but I am listing it as used because I am not sure. Approximately 2 1/2 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches tall. I could not find another or any information about it.
