You are bidding on a fantastic 530mm x 400mm professionally produced colour litho print of a 1938 Jaguar SS1 Saloon.  The first car to bear the name Jaguar was announced in 1935. The 2 seater quickly established itself as SS car's first genuine performance sports car, with successes in the Alpine Rally and many "home" events proving its worth against much more expensive opposition. The 2.5 Litre car shown here was supplemented by a 3.5 litre version from 1937, raising top speed from 94mph to a true 100 mph. Production ended in 1940 after 309 cars had been built.
