Back in the early days of control line combat, kit manufacturers rushed to get out kits for the event.  Because the mortality rate for models was high, many were very simple.  Midwest put out a kit called the Omega which was a simple flying wing with a unique lightweight construction.  Midwest then created a 1/2A version called Li'l Omega.  They then issued kits for a box fuselage model that used the combat wings and were also very simple to build.  This auction is for the 1/2A version of the box fuselage kit.  It features die-cut parts from pretty good quality balsa.  There is a wire landing gear and a clear bubble canopy.

The box shows its 60+ year age with a lot of tape support.  The kit, however, is intact.  The plans show a Babe .049 for power, but he Golden Bee or Black Widow would be better powerplants if for no other reason than larger fuel tank.  If 1 of these engines is used, it would be a good choice to move the plywood mount bulkhead aft about 1/4".  There is also plenty of room inside the fuselage for a seperate tank.

Rare, unique, and unusual are terms often used to describe items for sale on ebay.  This time I thank they all fit.
