The Mabie todd Co was started in New York around 1843 and became one of the leading giants in the production of high quality pens. By 1884 an office had been opened in Cheapside . London.Initially importing from the U.S.A. Full production began in 1907 ,although the nibs were still imported from the U.S.A..In 1915 the company was sold to Mabie Todd & Co Ltd.England , after which the company became one of the leading British pen manufacturers , producing a wide range of quality and often exceptionally beautiful fountain pens.Finally having succumbed to market forces the company closed in the 50's and today Mabie Todd pens are highly regarded by both collectors and everyday users.
