D.R. Hooker's cult classic album from 1972 was originally a private pressing and nowadays the original is a mega rarity. On the musical point of view this record is a really strong package of psychedelic rock. The sound of the record is a mix of hard and soft material and I find this album to be very consistent and solid from the start to the end. The B-side is probably a bit better than the A-side but all in all both are very entertaining. "I'm Leaving You" might be my biggest favourite here but all of the songs are quite strong.

Overall I think this record deserves 4,5 stars out of five because it's indeed a very strong collection of songs. The Truth is an essential listen if you call yourself as a fan of psychedelic rock. This is not a total five stars masterpiece but it's indeed a really good album in it's genre.
