Westmoreland Canary Yellow covered round butter dish or cheese dish in “Old Quilt” pattern.
“Old Quilt” pattern is sometimes referred to as “Quilted Diamond” or “Checkerboard”.
Impressed with Westmoreland logo both under the center of the lid finial and in the center of the underplate. SEE PHOTOS.
Dome lid with large finial fits into raised part of underplate perfectly.
The underplate outer rim edge  has both scallops and sawtooth edges.
Designs on the underside of the plate are made with intersecting ellipses that outline the quilted pattern.
The underplate dish measures about 7 1/2” across, and the set stands about 4 1/2” high.
Because of the impressed logo, I believe this was made from an original 1940’s Westmoreland mould between 1982-1984.
Heavy, this set weighs 2 lb. 5 oz.
Beautiful and bright color in natural light, this glows beautifully under a black light.
I always pack glassware carefully before shipping.
Thank you for looking.
