Boat - Maradea now Naval Academy Ocean Racer; Of National yachting and sailing impact was the launching of the 60-foot yawl Maredea (above) on January 19. Designed and built by St. Petersburg's Charlie Morgan Jr., the sleek yacht ranked as the world's largest fiberglass ocean racer until Morgan launched the 73-foot Big Toy for Tampa's Jimmy Turner later in the year.
