Viet Cong Prisoner Put To Work--A Vietnamese paratrooper holds his pistol as he guards a young Viet Cong guerrilla who was taken prisoner during battle near Cheo Reo on Wednesday. The prisoner is carrying the pack of the paratrooper. Cheo Reo, about 150 miles south of the Da Nang airbase, was the scene of a Viet Cong ambush on a Vietnamese and American convoy the same day. Pleiku, South Vietnam: Six helicopters were going to Due Co to pick up Viet Cong prisoners there. Nothing had flown to Due Co for three days because of bad weather and the prisoners had accumulated. Now there were 25 of them, and the Americans who fight in Due Co kept calling on the radio and saying they wanted the prisoners off their hands right away. Captured Viet Cong...flight to prison.
