Vintage Maison Mendessolle Brown Felt Wool Pleated Flowers Veil Halo Hat

This vintage Maison Mendessolle brown felt wool pleated flowers veil halo hat dates from the late 1940s. It is made of a brown wool felt fabric with brown silk grosgrain ribbon pleated wired flowers, leaves decorating the top front and a sheer brown dotted net veil covering. This stylish women's halo hat has a tall rounded upturned brim framing the face, a fitted tear drop shaped cap style coming to a point at the back, an elastic band strap, hair comb underneath to secure to the head along with a matching fabric tipped hatpin, a veiled face covering, unlined and has a "Maison Mendessolle" label sewn inside. The hat measures 9 by 9 inches and is in good condition, with only a few small frayed holes in the net veil. This is truly a wonderful piece of millinery wearable art!
