Here is a nice 18th century sailor made oxbone spoon with a whale shaped handle in good original condition. The oxbone surface has a nice natural patina from age with a nice shape. Originally from Edinburgh Scotland from a maritime naval collection. In total measuring 4 inches long. Provenance = Originally from Leith, Edinburgh, believed to have been made by a whaler/sailor working for the Edinburgh Whale and Fish Company Established in 1749.
