As a dog lover, I decided to start creating pups with an outfit for Barbie to walk (thanks, JR!). I hope someone will enjoy displaying this beautiful new white poodle with their own doll. Brazilian blowout on hocks, head, and tail instead of curly hair. Obviously not Mattel's "Prince" (who is amazingly huge) so I am calling her Princess. The dog jacket started with a vintage 1960s non-Mattel black velvet belt for a doll larger than Barbie -- not sure who -- with missing buckle. It has the original single rhinestone in the middle of the back and one original brass eyelet (buckle or other closure lost long ago). I added a few more rhinestones, two snaps (the dog will arrive wearing it -- if you ever take it off and want to put it back on, snap the underside one at the left shoulder first, then the one on right side strap), and a chest strap from vintage black velvet with rhinestone, and a silver tone leash (attached near neckline of jacket with a silver jump ring). As for your Barbie -- I will include this simple but elegant black and silver lurex tea-length tube dress (flecks of colors depending on how light hits it), with slightly gathered bust, matching purse and headband, rhinestone choker (simple hook in back), and Philippines black open toe heels embellished with silver glitter (no splits but they are easy to split -- the glitter glue helps with that). Overall a glittery display for Barbie fans who know she would have taken a beloved dog even to a gala (properly dressed, of course).
