NETHERLANDS. S'HERTOGENBOSCH. City Silver medal 1631, by A. van der Wilge, for military battle conquests by the governor Friedrich Heinrich von Nassau-Orange as well as the battles to capture:  Grol (1627), Wesel (1629) and Pernambuco (1630) and for his support of the capture of the Spanish silver fleet in the Bay of Matanzas, Cuba (1628).   These are all pictured on the medal !

Highest graded at PCGS.  Graded AU-58 !   68mm diameter, 59.1g weight.   

Provenance: Ex- RLM collection sold by Heritage in 2014 where this medal realized a price of $10,800.
