Clifford T Ward and Friends at Lea Castle Hospital School in 1968

This is a CD of a performance by Clifford T Ward and three friends, entertaining the children at Lea Castle Hospital School, near Kidderminster on January 4th 1968.

Before going any further, please note that this is a rough, unrehearsed and ragged performance by Cliff and his friends.

Clive Selwood who was part owner of the Dandelion Label suggested that Cliff adopt the more sophisticated Clifford T Ward name for his first 1972 album release “Singer Songwriter”, which in hindsight was a good decision.

A batch of CD’s was produced as merchandise by a friend of mine to coincide with an evening laid on for fans of Clifford for his 80th birthday during February 2024.

Many buyers of our “Kinver Sessions” album over the years, have shown interest in the detailed sleeve notes, as is the case, on all releases on our Beaujangle Label. Consequently, this album is released purely due to it containing the usual background information, relating to this 25-minute session.

However, please have low expectations for the musical content.
