Full Service history

I have my Volkswagen Golf GTI MK2 for sale. This car is in very good condition, from the body work to the engine. The previous owner did the majority of the work which included rust repairs, most of the suspension overhauled and all rubber/plastic trims replaced. The welding work includes the front scuttle, inner fuel cap and replaced both doors. Around 80% of the suspension has been replaced which is in the service history, you can really feel the difference in the ride, it drives as if it’s come out of the factory, very planted and not spongey like a lot of cars it’s age. A lot of trims/rubbers were replaced too from VW heritage. The sunroof is in full working order with no rust spots and the rails are in very good condition. The pictures show no Radio however it has one in now with AUX. The headliner is perfect which is very rare for these. It comes on genuine BBS RA’s wrapped in Toyo Proxes which even include the stud caps which you don’t see often. The rear lights are genuine Hella 16v lenses. The service history for this car is very extensive, you could sit for an evening going through it all. It has the original build sheet too. It’s currently my daily driver and it’s been brilliant in my ownership. The car has had a lot of money spent on it and you can tell. It took me a while to find this as I was looking for the right car.

The interior of the car is immaculate and it does not show its age at all! The seats appear as if they’re brand new.

The car has an old school immobiliser installed on it which has worked every time and starts on the button.

The work I’ve carried out is a brand new fuel pump as the old one was shot.

Now for the bits that need attention:

-The oil pressure buzzer will go off randomly every so often however there is oil pressure, I’ve been told it’s quite common with these and it maybe a loose connection somewhere but I’ve had no problems with it.

-There is a dent on the Off Side wing however no paint damage and should be able to pulled right out.

-The Rear Boot Barrel is fiddly and the boot unlocks whenever it feels like it but if you go at it, it will open up.

-The gear selector may need lubing up however that’s me being picky.

I work in the week with unpredictable finish times so I would prefer viewings on a weekend.

If you have any questions drop me a message.

The car is located in Birmingham, near the Edgebaston Cricket Ground.
