Edwardian Eyelet Embroidered Drawn Thread Cutwork Floral White Linen Tea Dress

This antique Edwardian era eyelet embroidered drawn thread cutwork floral white linen tea dress dates from 1910. It is made of a white heavy quality fine Irish linen fabric with raised padded satin stitch hand embroidered flowers, leaves, eyelet drawn thread cutwork designs and a sheer heavy crochet geometric lace pattern trim inserts on the skirt. This lovely linen lace dress has a long tea length with a sheer pintuck pleated net lace yoke neckline, short sleeves, a cotton lined backed crochet lace trim fitted waistband, mother of pearl button closures down the back and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 51 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 26 inch waist, 40 inch hips and a 12 inch back. It is in good condition, with a small mended repair under one arm and a few frays tiny holes scattered on the skirt (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
