This is the Sony VAIO drive that was the best quality as is all Metal case. Very well made and kept all these years. The drive was upgraded to be able to read Blu-Rays. It is a Blu-Ray recorder but I haven't had much luck with writing Blu-Rays but reads them just right at 1X. 

Excellent to use discs with computers that don't have a drive.
