1930-50 Art Deco Continental 835 Silver Photo Frame w Pierced Border 88.8g
This is a decorative photo frame that we date to
the mid-century art deco years of the 1930s through 1950s and favour the latter
end of the period. It is simply marked “SILVER”, tests confirm it is a minimum
of 835 in line with continental silver from central Europe. It has a wide
openwork foliate border that surrounds a plain rectangular inner margin.
The removable back is covered with a blue felt like
fabric (wrinkled in one corner). It slides into two retained corners and has a
pivoting hinge to enable photograph placement. The glass is a clear perspex
replacement and functions very well. It can by used in both portrait and
landscape alignment.

The frame is in excellent vintage condition with no
