This is the June 1992 stated First Edition of the catalog entitled CHILLIDA EN SAN SEBASTIAN, published in conjunction with an exhibit held at the Miramar Palace in San Sebastian, Donostia, Spain which honored the creative output of one of the Basque Country's most renowned artists, Eduardo Chillida. The catalog was published by Kutxa in San Sebastian in a small, heavy folio measuring 10" x 12" containing 500  pp. filled with color photos, including several gatefolds which exhibit the artist's skills in creating both indoor and outdoor sculptures, some monumental, plus abstractions, etchings, sketches, drawings, etc. followed by a catalog of the 330 objects in the exhibit which in turn is followed by an almost 40-page illustrated timeline of the artist's life and accomplishments. Most of the text is in English, Spanish and Basque. This was the first ever exhibition of the artist's work in his hometown of San Sebastian. Laid into this copy is a printed broadside leaf from Tecsa Construction Co. in Bilbao presenting this copy to the receiver on Christmas of 1993. It is bound in black cloth titled in silver on the spine and with the artist's monogram also in silver on the front cover and is in a dust jacket having a wrap-around photo of one of Chillida's paper constructions.
